I played it, was not into the feel. Then I picked up a Telecaster, again no good for me. As soon as the salesman put this baby in my hands I was off. With the flick of a switch this thing can go from a sweet woody tone monster to an all out rocker.. they should charge twice as much for, but I am glad they dont. I have been playing guitar for 10 years and have played a few guitars in my day and this by far was the best. I love this because I am in a ska/punk band and this is perfect for this. I can go from jazzy to punk rock as easy as 123. This is just an amazing guitar. Wow. Based on the reviews I had read, I expected a great guitar for the price, and thats exactly what I got. The sound is great (especially the clean tones). The only downside I have noticed is that it goes out of tune fairly easily (I'm used to using a Floyd Rose, so going out of tune is new to me). A set of locking tuners should fix this. The finish is beautiful. I don't know how this guitar can be available for such a low price.. I'm still thrilled with it's looks, value, but most importantly, it's performance and sound. This guitar has a very comfortable neck and great action. Its pickups are great and sound great, no matter what setting, clean or distorted. This guitar is easily better than the Gretsch Electromatic series in every way possible, and is less than half the price. Even the tremelo is better. This is a great guitar if you want a hollow or semi hollowbody, but don't want to pay for one of the high end Gretsch guitars.
